Trial terms

What the trial is
Sotto is made by Decosa, Inc. The open trial lets clinicians try Sotto for free: play made-up visits through the live engine, role-play a visit into their own mic or phone, and look at the transcript, questions, considerations, note, codes and forms it drafts.
It's a trial. It can change, pause or stop at any time, and features can come and go while we learn.
Role-play and made-up patients only
There's no BAA in place for this trial. Don't enter real patient information: no real names, dates of birth, record numbers or anything else that could identify a real person's health. Use the made-up patients we provide, or role-play with made-up details.
To use Sotto with real patients, your practice needs a BAA and its own confidential enclave, or your own server. Talk to us about real patients.
You decide
Sotto is for clinicians. It suggests questions to ask and shows things to consider, each with its source; it is not a diagnosis or an instruction, and it is not for emergencies. You are responsible for every decision and for anything you put in a chart.
Drafts are drafts. Nothing is signed, sent or prescribed. In the trial, Send to chart goes to a mock DrChrono that we run; nothing reaches a real chart.
Your account and your data
You can try a visit with no sign-in. A guest trial and everything in it is deleted 24 hours after it starts.
If you sign up, with an emailed code or with Google, your visits are kept for your practice's retention setting (30 days unless you change it). “Patient opted out” deletes a visit at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.
Who handles trial data, and what each provider keeps, is on the privacy page.
Fair use
The trial has shared limits so everyone gets a turn: about 120 minutes of speech a day across everyone, and limits per connection on new guest trials and live visits. When a limit is reached, the screen says so and when it resets.
Please don't try to get around the limits, break or probe the service's security, reach anything you weren't given, or use the trial to build a competing product. We may stop access that does.
No promises beyond these
We provide the trial as it is, free, without a promise that it will always be available, accurate or free of errors. Check everything it drafts before you rely on it.
We may update these terms; the date below changes when we do, and the current version is always on this page.
